Man killed in serious crash at Glandore, closing Anzac Highway

A man died after crashing into a tree on Anzac Hwy on Thursday afternoon, taking the number of lives lost on our roads this year to 103.

A driver has died after a road crash at Glandore on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to Anzac Highway just before 12.20pm, after reports a vehicle had crashed into a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Andrews Farm man, was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he later died.

He is now the 103rd person to die on SA roads this year, compared to 61 at this time last year.

Officers and emergency services attended the scene, along with Major Crash investigators.

Anzac Highway was closed to westbound traffic, with traffic diverted via South Road, and eastbound traffic restricted to one lane while the scene was cleared.
