A Comanchero bikie gang member has pleaded guilty to firing a pump-action shotgun into the front of the house as part of growing tensions between two clubs.

Ethan Ericson, 26, from Andrews Farm, was charged with discharging a firearm to scare or harass, affray and possessing a pump action shotgun.

Andy Ey, for Ericson had the matter called on early in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Chief Magistrate Judge Mary-Louise Hribal heard Ericson would plead guilty to firing and possessing the firearm, and the affray charge would be dropped.

By calling on the matter, Ericson secured the largest possible sentencing discount for an early guilty plea.

Ericson was arrested on July 12 over the shooting at Ingle Farm.

Police found pellet marks strewn across the property after responding to reports of gunshots about 7.30pm on June 23. After Ericson’s arrest, Crime Gangs Task Force officers said there was escalating hostility between the Comanchero and Hells Angels – the two largest motorcycle gangs in South Australia.

Hells Angels member Dylan Danaher was arrested at his Happy Valley home on June 27 by heavily-armed police, who found a handgun with ammunition located nearby.

He was remanded in custody and has yet to enter a plea to a charge of illegally possessing a firearm.

On August 4, six Comanchero bikies were arrested for associating in a Prospect park.

Among the people arrested were Stefanos Anagnostopolous, 38, from Prospect, the commander of the SA Comanchero and Nelson Erneo, the Sergeant at Arms.

The Comanchero have had their presence in the SA drug market reduced after the arrest of key office holders as part of Operation Ironside.

Many senior members of the gang are currently behind bars awaiting trial or yet to plead to a variety of charges.

Those free in the community are on strict bail.

The Hells Angels were not as affected by Operation Ironside, which targeted the users of the encrypted AN0M app, but have had members of their gang targeted by police in recent months.

Ericson will appear in the District Court in October for sentencing submissions.
