A woman and a boy have been arrested after another threat was made against a northern suburbs school and more gel blasters were located.

About 6.15am on Thursday, police became aware of an image being circulated that implied threatening behaviour towards a northern-suburbs school.

Police believe the image was downloaded from the internet.

Following an investigation, police detectives searched an Elizabeth Park home and arrested a 14-year-old boy. He has been charged with create false belief and was bailed to appear in court at a later date.

As a result of the arrest, police also attended and searched a Salisbury Park home. At the address police located two unrelated gel blaster firearms and reported a 46-year-old woman for possessing a firearm without a licence.

Police have now made five arrests in relation to children creating and circulating similar images and videos.

On Wednesday, another young boy faced court and a third teen became embroiled in the alleged school shooting hoaxes that have rocked Playford International College.

The boy, 14, of Brompton, appeared in the Youth Court on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after police reported a 13-year-old girl over an alleged shooting threat.

This comes after another Elizabeth Downs boy, 14, was on Monday reported by police after the first alleged threat.

The Brompton boy became the first person to be arrested over the alleged Snapchat hoaxes, when he was refused bail and made to face the court.

In a public statement, police alleged he made a copycat threat to “shoot up” the school using an image he downloaded from the internet.

He faced the court after spending time on remand.

The 13-year-old girl, of Para Hills, was reported on Wednesday afternoon with allegedly creating a false belief.

In another public statement, police alleged the girl sent the Snapchat post around, but that she was not responsible for the original post.

She was summonsed to face the Youth Court at a later date.

The Elizabeth Downs boy, 14, was on Monday reported by police after the first alleged threat, but is yet to face court.

Members of the school community have been left bewildered by the repeated claims with several parents deciding to keep their children home from school until the issue is resolved.

The school was rocked by three alleged threats across Sunday, Monday and Tuesday this week, with all allegedly including photos of guns and captions saying they would “shoot up” the school.

Almost a full day after the first threat initially emerged the school finally responded to frenzied parents and caregivers informing them of what was going on.

The school also responded after the second threat, with principal Karen Bond sending a letter out to the school community.

“The school has been assured there is no immediate risk and the school remains open,” Ms Bond wrote.

“We are aware of the alarm this may cause parents and students, but we remain in contact with both the police and the Department of Education at all times in order to ensure we have the best advice possible to ensure the safety of students.”

Police have warned that there are serious consequences for anyone who engages in this sort of behaviour, including students, parents or anyone who disseminates the images.
