Blaze damage worth $500k at Coromandel Valley home

A blaze at a Coromandel Valley home has caused extensive damage worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A Coromandel Valley home has suffered hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage after emergency services attended a structure fire on Wednesday.

Emergency services received reports of a fire on Sittella Crescent just before 4pm.

The occupant of the house was able to evacuate and was treated at the scene of the incident for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire to one end of the house.

The southern suburbs home is estimated to have approximately $500,000 of extensive smoke damage throughout.

Fire Cause Investigators will attend the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
