A Hells Angels prospect accused of supplying drugs to an undercover police officer has been released from custody in time for the birth of his second child.

Bradley Horlor, 28, was granted home detention bail in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, after a sophisticated drug enterprise involving methamphetamine and cocaine was allegedly uncovered.

His arrest followed Serious and Organised Crime Branch investigations that saw multiple businesses and homes searched on Friday, May 31.

Detectives seized about 3kg of methamphetamine, 100g of cocaine, two cars and a motorcycle during their raids.

Michael Woods, for Mr Horlor, told the court his client’s partner was due to have a caesarean section on Monday morning for their second child after having a difficult pregnancy.

“It’s a very stressful time for a mother going through these periods of time, and support of a partner is incredibly important,” Mr Woods said.

The court heard Mr Horlor’s partner, Emily Lane-Watson is also charged with drug trafficking.

Mr Woods said they weren’t going to deny that Mr Horlor was a prospect of the Adelaide Hells Angels chapter.

He also noted it was a relatively strong case against Mr Horlor but said it was at the low end of trafficking and he wasn’t involved in the direct negotiations.

“On the prosecution case, (Scott Michael Kristian Smith), who is Sergeant of Arms of the Adelaide chapter, meets with the undercover officer,” he said.

“He then talks and makes the deal if you like for 250g to be sold and then basically said that ‘this prospect over here will sort it out’.”

Mr Woods said Mr Horlor was almost to the point of a courier facilitating the transaction.

The court heard Mr Horlor had good work history, including previously working as a chef and hadn’t been before the courts since 2016.

Mr Horlor, of Munno Para, and Mr Smith, of Munno Para West, are charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking, including large commercial drug trafficking.

Grant McDougall is also charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug in relation to the operation.

No pleas have been entered by any of the accused.

A prosecutor opposed all forms of bail, saying they didn’t have confidence Mr Horlor would comply with bail, with Ms Watson residing in the same house and Mr Smith released on bail nearby.

The court heard Mr Horlor was already on bail for charges of being present with two or more criminal organisation participants, which he is yet plead to, at the time of the alleged offending.

The charge allegedly involved a large group of Hells Angels going on a funeral memorial run in January.

Justice Julie McIntyre granted Mr Horlor bail with conditions he not communicate with his co-accused besides Ms Watson, as well as any Hells Angels members.

The group will appear in court again next month.
