A man has been arrested after a woman was grabbed during her morning run at Morphettville yesterday morning.

The woman was jogging north on bike path near Carlisle Ave around 6:40am when the man allegedly grabbed her around the waist and pulled her to the ground, causing minor bruising.

The woman screamed, before the man bolted towards Everest Ave.

The suspect was not known to the woman and was described as having a fair complexion, about 178cm tall, with a solid build and wearing a beanie, a light blue/grey jumper, dark-coloured pants, and running shoes with black and white soles.

Following investigations, Southern District CIB attended a Seaford Meadows home Friday afternoon and arrested a 25-year-old man from Adelaide.

The man has been charged with assault and hindering police.

He has been refused bail and is set to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court next week.
