A young motorcyclist has died after a horror smash on a busy road south of Adelaide earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Main South and Malpas roads in Aldinga just after 4.30pm on Tuesday after reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and a car.
The motorcyclist, from Aldinga Beach, was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital a short time later, but has since died.
The driver of the car, a 26-year-old Clovelly Park woman, was not injured and was assisting police with investigations.
The Advertiser understands the car, a Honda, was turning right from Malpas Rd onto Main South Rd while the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Main South Rd.
The road was closed for several hours as Major Crash investigators attended the scene.
The man’s death is the 38th life lost on SA roads this year.
