— 2003: Penrith Panthers v Sydney Roosters: A Sattler try-saving tackle on a flying Todd Byrne gave the Panthers to an 18-6 win against the Roosters.

— 2005: Wests Tigers v North Queensland Cowboys: A Marshall flick pass set the tone for the most unlikeliest premiers in recent years with the Tigers beating the Cowboys 30-16.

— 2014: South Sydney Rabbitohs v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs: Burgess played on with a fractured cheekbone suffered in the opening tackle of the game. He led the Rabbitohs to a 30-6 win ending the club’s 43-year-drought.

— 2015: North Queensland Cowboys v Brisbane Broncos: The most dramatic of finishes when Kyle Feldt scored late before Thurston missed a sideline conversion to win. He nailed a golden point field goal following a Ben Hunt error for the Cowboys first title with a 17-16 win.
