IF you’re a Raiders tragic with memories of the club’s successful retro years, do yourself a favour and get to Seiffert Oval on September 28.
A collection of the finest players to ever don Canberra’s lime green jersey will assemble in Queanbeyan to play in a charity match.
The concept, dubbed Pie in the Sky, has attracted the likes of Brett Mullins, Brad Clyde and Ken Nagas to play and raise money for the Treehouse Foundation and another foundation yet to be named.

Former Raiders five-eighth will lead the Queanbeyan Blues against a formidable side boosting some of Canberra’s finest players.
Campese can’t wait to take on some of his former teammates and club legends he idolised coming through the ranks.
“The Raiders boys have put a pretty good team together – it’s great to see,” Campese told Bush Beat.
“It will bring back the memories for a lot of people.
“The game is at Seiffert Oval where it all began for the Raiders, so it will be a great day to have a lot of the old guys back.
“I know the guys who are running the game are asking us to treat the game 80 to 100 per cent seriously, so it will be a good contest.
“It will also be great to catch up and talk about old times - hopefully a lot of people come along to support us.”
Campese would love to beat a star-studded Canberra side featuring big names like Clyde and Mullins, but he says his main focus will be raising money for charity.
The retired Raiders playmaker now works for the Queanbeyan Council in community, so he fully understands the importance of helping people in need.
“Every day I’m around the community and it is one of those things that is close to my heart,” he said.
“If I can help fund equipment or put food on the table, then I’d love to change people’s lives.
“Why not use the profile that we used to have to try and get some funds.
“We’ve had a couple of meetings already and we’ve discussed everything from merchandise to who will host dinners before and after the game.
“The event is very well organised and I’d definitely push for anyone to travel and watch.”
Campese is also expecting a torrid and competitive match despite the fact most of the Raiders legends are retired.
“It won’t be a muck around game,” he said.
“There are a few charity games being played these days. We have the League Legends event on the Central Coast later this year, so guys have more opportunities to play.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
