1. Tea-Rani Woodman-Tuhoro (Storm, Marsden SHS alumni)

Blink and you will miss this bloke. Woodman-Tuhoro has no idea how fast he is over a 100m but take it from us, this youngster has serious wheels.

2. Jye Gray (Broncos, The Southport School old boy)

The diminutive Gray showed his versatility in 2021 when he played in the halves for the Burleigh Bears Meninga Cup side, made the Queensland schoolboys league 17 and then played fullback for The Southport School in the GPS First XI competition where he made our Team of the Season. He has blinding acceleration.

3. Jett Forbes (Cronulla, PBC SHS alumni)

Jett by name, jet by nature. Forbes was the wingman finisher in Palm Beach Currumbin SHS’s all-conquering 2021 side. He lit up the Phil Hall Cup state final against St Brendan’s College at Dolphin Oval.

4. Deine Mariner (Broncos, PBC SHS alumni)

Mariner made an instant impression at Broncos pre-season training in November when he blazed to the club squad’s quickest time during a 40m sprint session. He is a classy centre.

5. Michael Roberts (The Dolphins, PBS current student)

Roberts will enter his second season in the Langer Trophy this season playing for PBC SHS. He has been intercepted by the Dolphins NRL organisation. A fullback, winger or five-eight, he scored the decisive try in a grand final last season against Marsden SHS.

7. Dudley Dotoi (Wests Tigers, Kirwan SHS alumni)

A house mate and teammate of Wavik through school and into last season at club level, Dotoi is a slightly different type of player to Wavik and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow but has wheels. He was snapped up by the Wests Tigers mid-season last year.

Wildcard Watch

Kallum Weatherall-Stacey (Redcliffe Dolphins junior, Wavell SHS alumni)

Weatherall-Stacey is a winger or fullback with genuine pace. Indeed he is of national sprint standard and can really motor.

Hard work and a douse of self belief were the key to unlocking Tut-Chapman’s potential under coach Mick Roberts at Wavell SHS last season.
