A seven-goal haul from talented forward Jack Delean helped South Adelaide earn a grand final berth in the SANFL under-16 Torrens University Cup.
The Panthers proved too strong for North Adelaide in the first semi-final, prevailing 16.11 (107) to 12.3 (75) at Hisense Stadium (Richmond Oval) on Sunday.

Delean (7.2) was prolific up-forward with his ability to gain front position, take strong marks and accuracy in front of goals.
South’s clash with North as well as the second semi-final between Sturt and Glenelg was live streamed by The Messenger and The Advertiser as part of our SANFL coverage this season.
He was given plenty of support from Phoenix Hargrave (4.1).
Tom Weaton (24 possessions), Sid Draper (23 touches) and Ryan Pearsons (19) were the major ball-winners for the winners.
South, who finished the minor round top, controlled the match from the first bounce.
They pressured the Roosters into ball handling mistakes and giving their opponents no room to move.
South’s under-16 coach Brett Hudson was proud of his players and was looking forward to the grand final.
“It’s good for the boys to get their way through to a grand final,” Hudson said.
“They just put in a really good team effort today, to be honest.
“We were really keen to play more of a contested game given North got a jump on us last week.
“We wanted to keep it pretty settled early and no allow them to jump away from us.”
Hudson said Delean’s goals were a result of strong work from his midfield brigade.
“He (Delean) had a really good game,” Hudson said.
“But I think he was just the lucky one to get on the end of some of our good work from the mids.
“We don’t single anyone out as wanting to kick our goals, today was just the day where he happened to be the one who was the beneficiary of it.
“We will be telling them to enjoy it (the week) … we believe if we stick to our process and what we think works for us as a team, that’ll give us the best opportunity to get a good result next week.”
North battled hard with Jed Dignan booting three goals, Jakeem Cox and DJ Smith finishing with two apiece.
Kane McAuliffe (36 disposals, seven clearances, four defensive rebounds) was also strong for the Roosters, as was Toby Turner (27 possessions, 14 defensive rebounds).
Glenelg, meanwhile, enjoyed a victory over Sturt in the second semi-final later in the afternoon on Sunday.
The Tigers are the under-16 reigning premier having won the competition in 2019 before a COVID-19 enforced cancellation last year.

And their flag defence remains in tact after they beat the Double Blues 12.8 (80) to 6.7 (43) on Sunday, setting up a grand final clash with South.
Glenelg was far too clinical for Sturt and looked a class above with their foot skills and run and carry across the ground.
Tigers star Lucas Camporeale finished with 32 disposals, two clearances and six inside-50s, while Bodie Ryan (26 touches) was also solid.
Harry Francis (three goals) starred up forward.
Tigers coach Scott Uppington said his side had worked hard and deserved success.
“It’s probably as good as we’ve played all year,” Uppington said.
“I was impressed with the way we hunted the opposition in the first half in particular.
“I think we had 40 tackles at half-time and we made a real focus of that before the game.
“If we could pressure them and go after them defensively, we thought we had a little edge.
“We think our best footy is good enough, it’ll probably go up another notch next week.
“We are probably the underdog going into it but we feel we are in a bit of form and we go in confident if we play our best footy, we’ll give ourselves every chance.”
Luca Slade, son of eight-times Central District premiership player Matt Slade, was Sturt’s standout with 24 disposals, five clearances and a goal.
The SANFL under-16 Torrens University Cup grand final is expected to be hosted on Sunday, April 25.
A venue and time set to be announced later next week.
