Adelaide women’s star Emily Grist says her team will use the momentum from last week’s semi-final success when it takes on Port Adelaide with a Hockey SA Premier League grand final berth on the line.
Saturday’s do-or-die clash will kick off a preliminary final double-header at 4pm, before the men’s encounter between Seacliff and Port at 6pm.

Grist said her Adelaide teammates were full of belief following last weekend’s dominant display against North East.
“We’re really excited heading into the prelim and we bring a lot of confidence from the way we played on the weekend,” Grist said.
“We’ve developed a great rivalry with Port Adelaide over the last few years and the games are always tight and of a high quality.”
Adelaide will need to be at its best against the Magpies, who are ready to bounce back from their disappointing semi-final loss to Seacliff, which has already booked its spot at the big dance.
“To get a result, we’re going to need to bring our best hockey for four quarters and everyone needs to play their role,” Grist said.
“We’re up for the challenge.”
Seacliff’s men will look to build on their 3-1 semi-final victory over North East in their preliminary final against Port.
The minor premier Magpies went down 2-1 to Adelaide last weekend, in an epic rivalry match.
Port boasts one of the best defences in the competition and the Tigers will need to rediscover the offensive firepower they showed against North East.
An exciting affair awaits, as both teams fight to book a grand final date with Adelaide.
Both games will be live streamed right here from the State Hockey Centre, Gepps Cross.
