Stirling East Primary student and Hills district goal attack, Zoe McArthur, said it was “special” to play in the Sapsasa team.
“I’m excited to be part of a new team with people I don’t really know and just creating a good environment to play good netball,” Zoe, 11, said.
Hills district coach Annette Davis said the Year 5 and 6 Sapsasa carnival was a great way to bring players together from different schools as well as the Hills and Mid Hills netball associations.
“They compete against each other on the weekends but for us up in the Hills it gives them an opportunity to meet new players and new people in a fun, exciting environment,” Davis said.
Birdwood Primary student and Hills goalie Ava Mudge said she was thrilled when she found out she had been selected for her Sapsasa team.
“I’m looking forward to making close relationships with my team and enjoying the experience,” Ava, 11, said.
The Advertiser’s live stream of the Sapsasa Metro Netball Carnival will begin at 9.30am on Wednesday, June 22.
