The 2023 Netball SA Premier League finals series is finally here and the state’s top stars are ready to do battle for the ultimate prize.

Ahead of this week’s semi finals, which will be live streamed exclusively here on The Advertiser website and KommunityTV, we’ve picked the 10 players to watch during the next three weeks of action.

Here is our list club-by-club.

CONTAX

CHELSEA BLACKMAN

A versatile defensive leader for Contax, Blackman has been a huge presence for her side through the 2023 season.

The club’s captain has led by example in the defensive third tallying large numbers of intercepts each week and distributing efficiently up the court.

Will be a major factor in this year’s finals series.

KATE WALSH

Arriving at Contax this season after a starring career in Suncorp Super Netball, Walsh has been a rock in defence for her new side.

Walsh is able to shut down some of the best attackers in the competition and also has the ability to force turnovers and start dangerous rebound attacks out of the defensive third.

SOPHIE AGOSTINO

Agostino has been a dominant force for Contax in attack this season and a major key to the club’s first place finish in the minor round.

An explosive player with top drawer shooting skills and the ability to set up other teammates in attack.

Has 406 goals so far this season.

GARVILLE

JORDYN ADAMS

The powerhouse defender returned to captain Garville this season after missing 2022 with an acl injury and has been a standout for her side.

A natural leader on and off the court, Adams has no problem standing some of the Premier League’s most talented attackers or racking up interceptions and consistently inspires her team to strong results.

TAHLIA DNISTRJANSKI

A star recruit for Garville this year, Dnistrjanski has continued her development as a star on the rise in the Premier League.

A versatile midcourter who works hard defensively and in attack, Dnistrjanski has state and national experience under her belt and will be an important player in finals.

MATRICS

LAUREN FREW

Matrics’ top scorer this season, Frew has been a force in attack for the reigning premier.

Frew is an accurate shooter who has the ability to score from anywhere in the goal circle.

Has 398 goals from 450 attempts so far this season.

SOPHIE CROFT

Matrics captain Croft has been a top performer in defence yet again this season.

A composed player on the ball with the ability to tally intercepts each week, Croft’s ability and leadership will be of significant importance this finals series.

TYLER ORR

Star midcourter Orr has been highly influential through the 2023 season and will be a key player in finals.

Orr covers the court as well as anyone in the Premier League and plays a significant part in causing turnovers and creating opportunities for attackers.

SOUTH ADELAIDE

JESSICA PARADISO

South Adelaide’s star recruit for 2023 and the reigning league MVP, Paradiso has been dominant for her side this season.

An experienced leader and skilled player, Paradiso can put a shift in across the court but does most of her damage as a dangerous attacker.

Has 348 goals so far this year.

MAGGIE KERR

South Adelaide’s top scorer this season, Kerr will be a player opposition teams need to shut down in finals.

A reliable target inside the circle who can score from anywhere, Kerr is an efficient and dangerous shooter.

Kerr has 364 goals and counting.
