The hunt for Netball SA’s Premier League title is down to three teams after an exciting night of clinical shooting and dogged defence. Relive all the action from all four live semifinals.

South Adelaide survived some nervy moments in the fourth quarter before keeping their Netball SA Premier League season alive on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Contax moved into the grand final with an impressive 53-36 victory over Matrics in the major semifinal.

South Adelaide looked to be in total control of their minor semifinal when leading 44-34 after three quarters against Garville, but their opponents had other ideas.

Garville, who beat South Adelaide 47-46 just two weeks ago, stormed out of the blocks and closed to within four goals at one stage before South Adelaide regained their composure to win 55-47.

South Adelaide got the jump early, quickly turning a 6-6 scoreline into a 15-8 quarter time lead.

Garville got back to within four midway through the second quarter before South Adelaide kicked away again to lead 28-21 at halftime.

Contax v Matrics (Premier League)

The victory for Contax was achieved on the back of a dominant defensive display in the third quarter.

Matrics had stuck resolutely to their big rivals for the first two quarters but could only score five goals in the third quarter as the game drifted away.

Matrics will have another chance to reach the decisive game when they play South Adelaide in next week’s preliminary final.

Contax v South Adelaide (Reserves)

RESERVES REVIEW

Pinpoint shooting from Jordi Vidmar and Jazmine Noye ensured Contax continued their Netball SA reserve grade season at the expense of South Adelaide.

Vidmar and Noye were electric for Contax, getting into great position to finish off some lovely build-up work.

South Adelaide, who beat Contax twice during the season, were on the back foot from the start of this game, trailling 15-3 at one stage midway through the first quarter.

Contax led 17-6 at the first change and extended their advantage to a match-winning 21 - 26-15 - by halftime.

They will now face Matrics in next Friday night’s preliminary final after their 65-34 win.

Meanwhile, sisters Jade and Kayla Howes impressed as Oakdale turned in a dynamic second quarter performance to become the first team into the grand final.

Matrics v Oakdale (Reserves)

Kayla scored 40 goals and Jade chipped in with 15 as second-placed Oakdale, who lost to Matrics 61-48 just two weeks ago, bounced back from a 15-12 first quarter deficit to lead 30-23 at halftime.

They extended their margin out to eight goals - 44-36 - at three quarter time and eventually took the match 55-43.
