Tango secured its first win of the Netball SA Premier League season with a 63-51 victory over Newton Jaguars on Wednesday night.
With a Jaguars side winning its first game in over a year last week, Tango headed into the clash wary of that confidence.

But they managed to lead at every change, pulling away in the third-quarter despite a strong fightback in the final term from Tango.
60 combined goals from co-captains Jacoba Clough (36) and Tenille Gray (24) proved to be the difference for the victors.
In reserves action, Tango also came away with a win 49-43.

Newton Jaguars v Tango (Reserves)—2025 Netball SA Premier League Round 2
PREVIEW
A reinvigorated Newton Jaguars side will aim for two consecutive wins to begin the 2025 Netball SA Premier League season.
The Jags, who went winless last season, edged out Metro Jets in the season opener to break their long losing streak.
Led by captains Sienna Burns and Millie Cordy, they came back from an early deficit to defeat the Jets 50-46 and get the monkey off of the back.
The Jags now take on Tango this Wednesday night with the Premier League and Reserves action streamed live and exclusive right here on Adelaide Now and KommunityTV.
Jaguars coach Lee-Anne Cummins said her side had built significant confidence after the win.
“Obviously, having gone through last season winless, to get that first win this season was a really good feeling,” Cummins said.
“It was good to see some things we’d worked on coming to fruition and obviously some growth and development in the group as well.
“Everyone is feeling good right now and we’ve definitely grown in confidence as winning those close games hasn’t been a strength of ours.”
Tango went down 60-44 to Oakdale in Round 1 despite a 33-goal effort by Jacoba Clough.
Cummins said her players would need to be at their best defensively to hold off their opposition and get the win on Wednesday.
“Most of our players are 21 and under and are all still learning so we really need everyone to come together and produce another strong performance, we can’t rely on just one or two players.
“They (Tango) were very competitive against Oakdale for a big portion of the game and we’re not taking them lightly.
“Our defence will have to play strong, (Clough) is a key target for them so it’s about denying the ball to their shooters.
“The girls are really keen to try and get two wins in a row, that’s one of our goals, to see if we can get consecutive wins on the board and then go from there.”
