Tango has kept its finals fate in its own hands after taking care of Metro Jets on Friday night.
In KommunityTV’s live streamed match of the round, Tango had too much quality for the Jets as it secured a 79-50 victory in the penultimate minor round of the Netball SA Premier League season.

The result meant Tango solidified its spot in the top four with lowly Newton Jaguars in the last round the only thing standing between it and a finals berth.
Metro meanwhile appears certain to finish in sixth spot.
In the reserves, Tango took the win, 65-39.

It’s been a non-stop year for Poppy Gilfillan-Silk and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
From National Championships and Australian camps interstate to Netball SA Premier League and training with the Thunderbirds back home – throw in an illness or two along the way – the Metro Jets emerging talent has barely had a moment’s rest.
But the 18-year-old shooter believes her hectic netball schedule has resulted in rapid development.
Gilfillan-Silk and the Jets will take on Tango in KommunityTV’s exclusive live streamed Premier League matches of the week on Friday night.
“I finally got to go away for nationals, I was lucky enough to train with the Thunderbirds a couple of times and just went away to Australian camp,” said Poppy Gilfillan-Silk, who returned from the national under-19 training camp earlier this week.
“It’s been very challenging but to be able to work with the coaches I have and test myself against top players … I feel like I’ve matured a lot as a player and come a long way in the past year.”
Poppy Gilfillan-Silk, also a part of the SASI netball program, has developed into a key player for Metro in her third year in the Premier League squad.
The sharpshooting attacker has 189 goals from nine appearances for the Jets this season.
While sixth-placed Metro has experienced a challenging 2022 with three wins, Gilfillan-Silk said the chances she has received at the “great family club” have been invaluable.
“Everyone at the club is super supportive and there’s lots of opportunities for young players,” she said.
The versatile shooter has long-term aspirations of reaching the heights of the Thunderbirds and Diamonds teams but in the near future has her eye on being selected for the Southern Force in the upcoming Australian Netball Championships.
Poppy Gilfillan-Silk was one of 19 SA players selected in the squad, which will be whittled down next week before the week-long pathway competition in August.
This Friday, she and Metro Jets will take on fourth-ranked Tango on centre court at Netball SA Stadium.
Both the Premier League and reserves matches will be exclusively broadcast here by KommunityTV from 7pm.
