But that’s not all.

The deal also covers the District League Youth and Reserves finals over four consecutive Tuesdays from July 23, as well as the District League Junior Finals on three Fridays in a row from July 19.

The announcement comes as South Australian basketballers are flying high on the national stage, with the U18 and U20 women, in particular, enjoying great success in recent times.

Basketball SA’s Adam May said the deal was an exciting one for the state’s up and coming talent.

“Basketball SA is extremely excited to expand the partnership with Kommunity TV, broadcasting a range of games from our competitions over the next three years, and allowing more basketball fans to see the coverage of grassroots community basketball than ever before,” he said.

“We look forward to sharing games from the State Basketball Centre – the new home of South Australian basketball – at the upcoming State Championships.

“We are also looking forward to expanding the coverage of the District League finals across the Senior, Youth and Junior competitions, after the successful partnership with the junior competition last year.

“Partnering for multiple years allows us to work with Kommunity TV to focus on developing the coverage over the life of the agreement, utilising their experience in broadcasting Basketball in both South Australia as well as around the country.”
