South Australia’s top young football talents have used one last chance to impress their clubs on the final day of the SANFL Intrastate Carnival.

And there were five teams which stood above the rest following the annual three-day tournament.

KommunityTV exclusively live streamed two ovals each day with 24 matches in total available for viewing across the carnival, which featured under-15 metro and country boys teams along with under-14 and under-16 girls.

Six teams – North Adelaide U14, girls, South Adelaide U14 girls, Glenelg U16 girls, Central District country U15 boys, Glenelg country U15 boys and West Adelaide metro U15 boys – finished the carnival undefeated.

The Bloods’ metro boys side hard arguably the most exciting run of the week.

On a wet and windy Tuesday, they opened the carnival with a dour one-point win over South, backed it up with another one-point thriller against the Eagles on Tuesday before finishing with a comparably comfortable two-goal victory over Glenelg on the final day.

Max Matheson and William Thomas were two of West’s most consistent across the matches.

Other highlights included Glenelg U16 girls young gun Eloise Mackereth booting five of her side’s seven goals in a solid win over the Bloods while Norwood’s Will Prescott bagged six majors for the U15 metro boys on Thursday.
