Surprisingly beaten by North Adelaide in week one of the SANFL reserves finals series, Sturt roared back to life to end the title hopes of West Adelaide.
The 14.6 (90) to 7.8 (50) victory sets up an intriguing rematch with the Roosters next weekend in the biggest game of the season.
Anzac Lochowiak and Chad Reschke both kicked three goals as Sturt dominated the second half against the Bloods, kicking eight goals to two.

Two clubs are set to make a last-ditch attempt to secure SANFL silverware in 2022 when they meet in the reserves preliminary final on Sunday.
Sturt and West Adelaide will clash in the preliminary final at Adelaide Oval on Sunday with all the action livestreamed here by KommunityTV from 11.45am.
It will follow broadcasts of the under-16 and under-18 preliminary finals on Saturday.
The minor premier Double Blues will hope to avoid a straight-sets finals exit against the youthful Bloods outfit.
They led nearly the entire match against North Adelaide in their semi-final last week, only to relinquish control in the dying stages and suffer a four-point defeat.
This Sunday’s victor will face the Roosters in the reserves grand final on September 18, which will also be live streamed by KommunityTV.
West Adelaide – featuring AFL Draft prospects Kobe Ryan, Harry Lemmey and Tom Scully – finished third on the ladder before losing to North in the qualifying final.
The Bloods then responded with a 20-point win last week to keep their flag dreams alive.
Sturt meanwhile suffered a four-point defeat to the Roosters in their semi-final and will look to respond and set up another date with North in the grand final.
Brad Jeffries, Mihail Lochowiak, Tyson Hone and Mani Liddy were among the Double Blues’ best last time out.
