Prior to the weekend’s racing Fox had raced off with double gold in the C1 and K1 in the Prague World Cup and C1 gold in Augsburg, Germany.
While Fox, now on a short break after an arduous schedule of elite racing over the last month, is at the zenith of her career, young cousin Mark Crosbee is making a mark as one of Australia’s most promising paddlers.
The 19-year-old has impressed at the junior level in recent times and owns a junior world crown.
On the weekend he also turned heads in his senior World Cup debut where he made the final and finished 10th in the C1 in Slovenia.
The teenager from Melbourne won the world junior C1 championship at the ICF canoe slalom Junior Championships on the comeback from a rib stress fracture just a year ago.
