‘Scariest knockout ever’ in BKFC history sends internet into meltdown

A rising star of the bare knuckle world has delivered one of the nastiest knockouts ever seen in the history of the sport.

McGregor reignites rivalry after BKFC KO

Conor McGregor is notorious for brutal knockouts.

But even he was taken aback by one of the most vicious punches seen in a ring at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) KnuckleMania V.

The former dual-weight UFC champion acquired an ownership stake in BKFC last year and is a regular at the events.

UFC 312: Du Plessis v Strickland 2 | SUN 9 FEB | Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports. Main Event on Kayo Sports and Foxtel is the home of UFC PPV.

And on Sunday (AEDT), McGregor was blown away by what has been labelled the ‘scariest KO in BKFC history’ as rising star Kaine Tomlinson Jr. needed just 37 seconds to knockout Pat Sullivan at the Wells Fargo Center in Miami.

The 24-year-old’s monstrous overhand right landed flush on his opponent’s chin and shut his lights completely out.

Scary knockout rocks boxing world

In frightening scenes, Sullivan’s head bounced off the bottom rope as he lay motionless on the canvas for several scary minutes.

Medical personnel immediately scrambled into the ring but couldn’t bring him to consciousness for what felt like an eternity.

Thankfully, he eventually was able to sit up and was heard asking his coach what had happened as he was attended to.

The knockout saw the boxing world lose its mind and even McGregor couldn’t believe what he just witnessed.

“WOW! #INSANE,” McGregor tweeted.

And he wasn’t alone with the knockout going viral on social media.

“That was brutal! Unreal,” one fan commented.

“One of the greatest knockouts in this sports history,” another said.

“One of the most brutal KO’s I’ve ever seen!” a third wrote.

Will Conor McGregor ever fight again?

McGregor has been linked with a $500 million boxing exhibition against Logan Paul, however, the fight has not been confirmed.

While UFC boss Dana White has shut down that fight occurring stating McGregor will return to the Octagon in 2025.

However, fans are becoming less and less sure he will fight again, considering he is now 37 and hasn’t competed since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier back in July 2021.

Yet one thing that does appear likely is him fighting in BKFC sometime in the future, with McGregor hinting it could be coming sooner rather than later.

“One of these days, you’ll just hear my music come onto this stage in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and I’ll have my fist wrapped with no gloves for a fight, out of nowhere,” McGregor said recently.

“No promotion. No promo. No nothing. Just fighting a random fight on the card. That could be what the future holds.”
