Solskjaer optimistic on De Gea, coy about Maguire

Manchester United head into their friendly against Leeds in Perth with a question mark remaining over the future of their champion goalkeeper but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says any announcement will have to come from the player himself.

Liverpool go top but need favour from old foe

Liverpool has regained its place at the top of the EPL with a 2-0 win to restore its two-point lead over Manchester City, but the side which could help it win the title suffered a humiliating loss.

Mourinho out: Is Gunnar back in?

Manchester United have sacked manager Jose Mourinho, and later in the day the Premier League giant appeared to accidentally announce his replacement on its website.
