Craig Goodwin is tipped to be rewarded for his A-League form by tomorrow being named in the Socceroos squad for the friendly against Korea Republic next month away.

Goodwin was gutted by his non AFC Asian Cup selection in the UAE in January after he was called into the Socceroos squad in November for friendlies but coach Graham Arnold is tipped to give him the chance to prove him wrong.

He is now in line to win his first cap since facing England in a 2-1 loss at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland in 2016.

Goodwin’s 10 A-League goals and nine assists and his five FFA Cup goals in four matches to help Marco Kurz’s men claim the trophy has also put the winger back in the global clubs spotlight.

Goodwin’s management is according to sources fielding inquiries from clubs in the big three Asian leagues, South Korea, China and Japan which could lead to a frenzy of if he does get game time at Busan Asiad Stadium on June 7.

It’s understood English clubs are also interested in snaring Goodwin as he has an attractive buy out-clause believed to be about $450,000

Meanwhile Adelaide captain Isaias’ agent was baffled by speculation linking the Spaniard for a reported transfer to a Qatari football club.

With Adelaide expected to announce Dutchman Gertan Verbeek as the boss to replace Kurz to start work at the end of June, talk of Isaias leaving has stunned his agent.

“I spoke to Isaias two weeks ago,’’ said his agent from Spain.

“He is contracted to Adelaide until 2020, there is no … thing there, you must speak to Isaias.”

It’s understood Isaias has a buy out-clause which would enable the new Australian to be released for an offer below his $1 million market value.

Qatar’s FIFA transfer window opens on July 1 but it doesn’t mean Isaias cannot sign a new contract with another club before being registered for the competition.

Adelaide has also accepted another Chinese player, a Reds official claimed.

The player according to sources is keen to win a visa spot on the A-League roster.

The player from Adelaide’s sister club Qingdao Red Lions would not be able to represent the Reds in the NPL due to an Football Federation SA ruling after United last year explored loaning out its sister club’s Chinese players to other SA clubs.

Chaung Tang, Zhen Yu Diao and twins Zi Yuan Jiao and Zi Ming Jiao trained with the NPL side in November.

An Adelaide official said there had been no further developments with Isaias’ pending transfer or a new coach.

The Reds new community programs coach, Robin Westerman as revealed by The Advertiser in March. is also in Adelaide, the Dutchman runs the Red Lions academy.
