Shane Warne names his top targets in KFC SuperCoach BBL

Two BBL favourites are about to remind T20 fans of their quality, according to spin king Shane Warne.
Warney is tipping two of the BBL’s all-time leading players — Chris Lynn and Andrew Tye — to stamp themselves on BBL10.
Lynn endured an indifferent tournament with Brisbane Heat last summer, while Tye missed all of BBL09 after undergoing elbow surgery.
The Perth Scorchers quick is back in the Australian set-up and featured in the recent T20 series against India.
Warney is also expecting big things from the BBL’s reigning MVP and the world’s premier white-ball spinner.

Chris Lynn (Brisbane Heat) $131,900 BAT
Is there a more in-form batsman in Australia right now than Chris Lynn? OK, the step up from Queensland grade cricket to BBL is significant, but it’s hard to knock his run of scores for Toombul. In the past three games Lynn has belted 154 from 55 balls (20 sixes), 104 not out from 41 balls (11 sixes) and 139 from 43 balls (14 sixes). He might not have been at his best in the past few BBL campaigns but Lynn still scored 387 runs at 29.8 last summer. His tournament highlights were a knock of 94 from 35 balls against the Sixers and 88 not out from 55 balls against Hobart.
WARNEY SAYS: “Probably the last year or so hasn’t had the best of seasons, but he’s coming off 20 sixes in a club game this year. I reckon he’s in fine form. He’s got the shaved cranium and I think that’s going to absolutely put some people off as well. I think Chris Lynn will be back to his best.”
Marcus Stoinis (Melbourne Stars) $185,700 BAT-BWL
Stoinis broke all sorts of records in the BBL last season, finishing 129 runs clear of Sydney Thunder’s Alex Hales with a tournament-high 705 runs from 17 games. That included an incredible innings of 147 not out from 79 balls against Sydney Sixers. He was unable to bowl for most of BBL09 due to a side strain and will be dealing with a similar issue for the first few weeks of BBL10. But it speaks volume of his impact with the bat he was still one of the top KFC SuperCoach BBL scorers of BBL09.
WARNEY SAYS: “MVP last year, best player in the competition last year. With the bat, (he’s) in the top few, with the ball (he bowls) in the middle. Always fields in the hot spots too so plenty of catches.”

Rashid Khan (Adelaide Strikers) $192,300 BWL
The world’s No. 1 ranked T20 bowler is back for another summer in Adelaide to terrorise BBL batsmen. Khan has been one of the BBL’s most-consistent contributors in the past three seasons with hauls of 18, 19 and 19 wickets for the Strikers. He added another weapon to his game last summer as a lower-order hitter and will again be a favourite selection for many KFC SuperCoach BBL teams — just wait until Round 2 to grab him as the Strikers have a bye in Round 1.
WARNEY SAYS: “What can you say about Rashid Khan? As we’ve said so many times – blank piece of paper you’re picking a T20 side, Rashid Khan is definitely in there as the first picked.”
Andrew Tye (Perth Scorchers) $134,100 BWL
He seems to be the forgotten man of the BBL after missing last season as he recovered from elbow surgery. One of the BBL’s all-time leading wicket-takers, Tye has won his spot back in Australia’s T20 squad. He has the best career average of any of the BBL’s top-10 wicket-takers at 19.8 and an impressive strike rate of a wicket every 15.7 balls. He averaged 52.1 KFC SuperCoach points in BBL08 and 50.6 points in BBL07. Expect a similar return as he reminds BBL fans what they missed out on last summer.
WARNEY SAYS: “Another one that was one of the best T20 bowlers in the world in Andrew Tye. Just gone off the boil a bit in the last year or so, but I reckon he’s going to be back this year with a vengeance.”
