Richmonds Mad Monday celebration

THESE cheeky Richmond players have taken it upon themselves to make peace on behalf of two warring Aussie basketballers.

And the man at the centre of the drama has approved.

Anthony Miles and Sam Lloyd arrived together as Liz Cambage and Andrew Bogut, who have previously traded barbs on social media in a long-running feud.

On Instagram, Miles captioned the image of the duo: “We’ve had our disputes, but we’re resolving them over a beer today.”

Lakers centre Bogut was literally speechless, tweeting his response in emojis.

The Tigers have had a big few days since winning the 2017 flag, and their premiership stars are celebrating at The Sporting Globe pub today for their traditional end-of-season Mad Monday — dubbed Tiger Tuesday.

Cotchin and the rest of the Tigers — minus the Brownlow Medallist — donned colourful costumes to celebrate their premiership season today.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and premiership captain Trent Cotchin has gone all out with his Tiger Tuesday get-up as the man who kept Dustin Martin at Richmond.

The premiership captain said he couldn’t miss the opportunity to pay homage to Carr.

“He was a big part of 2017 for the Tigers, so I thought I couldn’t go past the opportunity,” Cotchin told the Herald Sun.

“We’re thankful that he helped us get Dusty on board for another seven years and I thought it was pretty relevant.

“We’ll wait and see how many people have their full kits on by the end of the day. It should be good fun.”

Star forward Jack Riewoldt — reprising his role as The Killers’ frontman, Brandon Flowers — ordained Cotchin as best dressed.

“Shaun Grigg looks great as DJ Khaled and Sam Lloyd as well as Liz Cambage is one of my favourite ones, but I probably can’t go past the skipper,” Riewoldt said.

“He’s very good at dressing up, the skipper, he dives right into it and I think today, coming as Ralph Carr is phenomenal.”

Defender Kamdyn McIntosh stole the show as Bad Grandpa, spending more than two hours in the makeup chair.

“Kamdyn Mcintosh’s makeup is something very impressive,” Cotchin said

“I’m not sure if he did it himself, but he looks younger than he normally does and he’s meant to be an old man.

“Some guys have gone to a lot of effort and I love it.”
