GWS GIANTS

THREE TO WATCH

Stephen Coniglio ($452,400): An intriguing prospect after an injury-affected year that saw him play just seven games and average 91. Ready to go from Round 1 in 2018.

Brett Deledio ($339,800): If he’s fit, he’s almost a must-have. Deledio is a known SuperCoach commodity but sadly injuries have cruelled him. Only played four games in 2017 but scored 96 and 92 in the final two H&A games of the year.

Heath Shaw ($458,100): Is Shaw’s time as a SuperCoach stud coming to an end? Zac Williams and Nathan Wilson ate into his workload last year as he averaged 83. The lowest mark in his SuperCoach career.

HAWTHORN

THREE TO WATCH

Grant Birchall ($277,100): Insanely underpriced if he can recapture his glory days. Averaged 90-plus in 2011-12 and 80-plus from 2013 to 2016. A major weapon off half-back.

Jack Gunston ($474,800): Was up and down in 2017 scoring 90-plus 10 times but under 70 seven times. Moved into defence late in the season and finished strongly, averaging 101 in the last seven rounds.

Tom Mitchell ($653,500): Finished with the third best SuperCoach average in 2017, his first season at Hawthorn. Dropped below 90 once. Safe as houses.

MELBOURNE

THREE TO WATCH

Michael Hibberd ($545,200): Melbourne’s attacking weapon off half-back and a SuperCoach stud in defence. Returned from suspension and injury last year with an average of 99.

Max Gawn ($503,700): Set to be one of the most popular picks for Round 1. The star big man struggled with injury in 2017 but still averaged 91.

Clayton Oliver ($612,800): Can the young Demon back up his breakout season? His inside game is very SuperCoach friendly. A lot of options in this price range but pick with confidence.

NORTH MELBOURNE

THREE TO WATCH

Luke Davies-Uniacke ($189,300): Set to be one of the most popular cash cows in 2018 as he looks to be a certain Round 1 debutant and be a major part of the Roos’ rebuild.

Todd Goldstein ($521,400): Sadly, Goldy’s SuperCoach career looks to be over with Brad Scott giving Braydon Preuss and Majak Daw more responsibility. Consider if he rucks solo.

Jamie Macmillian ($424,600): Can score when fit and firing but it’s the fit bit that has been an issue in recent years. Can he develop in the Roos’ Docherty/Shaw half-back star?

PORT ADELAIDE

THREE TO WATCH

Robbie Gray ($504,300): The one-time SuperCoach favourite is now almost untouchable. At least as long as he continues to be a primary forward rather than ball-winning midfielder.

Travis Boak ($467,800): A surprising addition to the DPP ranks, Boak’s SuperCoach viability is skyrocketed with his availability as a forward. One to monitor in the pre-season.

Paddy Ryder ($566,500): The second most expensive ruckman, Ryder should be a major point of difference option with the Gawn-Nic Nat combination looming as very popular.
