ADELAIDE CROWS

THREE TO WATCH

Matt Crouch ($608,300): Can the ball magnet back up his amazing 2017? Almost untaggable - and Rory Sloane usually cops it anyway - as he loves to tackle and get his nose dirty.

Rory Sloane ($605,800): Before picking him we’d suggest talking to an owner from last year. The Crows star can be supremely frustrating but when he bangs out a 170 all is forgiven.

Paul Seedsman ($300,200): Is he first in line to take Brodie Smith’s place on half-back? He’s certainly in the frame and we’ll find out in the pre-season.

BRISBANE LIONS

THREE TO WATCH

Dayne Beams ($557,600): If you like a unique option Beams and teammate Dayne Zorko could be for you. Can score heavily but Beams’ injury history is always front of mind.

Allen Christensen ($267,300): The dangerous half-forward returns after two seasons ruined by injury. By all reports ready for Round 1 and should be a popular pick.

Cameron Rayner ($202,800): The No.1 pick is the most expensive draftee and at this stage should be avoided at all costs. Has plenty of x-factor but doesn’t win enough of the ball.

CARLTON

THREE TO WATCH

Kade Simpson ($516,300): With Sam Docherty out for the season does Simpson get an uptick in touches or will teams look to tag him out of games? You’d back the former.

Matthew Kennedy ($356,000): When secured, Kennedy looked the obvious replacement for Bryce Gibbs. However, his awkward price has us double guessing his value.

Matthew Kreuzer ($603,700): Congrats to all those that picked Kreuzer up cheap last year. This year, he’s one to steer clear of.

COLLINGWOOD

THREE TO WATCH

Scott Pendlebury ($586,500): The cheapest the Pies’ superstar has been in years which puts him in must-have territory. That said, it Father Time starting to catch up with him?

Jeremy Howe ($517,600): Demons fans watched on jealously as Howe produced an outstanding season in defence. The question in 2018 is, can he back it up?

Jordan de Goey ($434,300): Retaining his Mid-Fwd dual position status is huge. Finished 2017 with three tons in the final five games but on the flip-side, two scores under 60.
