Jack Bowes (Gold Coast)
Midfielder, Average: 109
If the young Sun slipped through, and he might’ve given his status as a midfielder only, you cannot let him go again after back-to-back SuperCoach tons. Bowes’ 109-point average has him as the 22nd-ranked player in the game after three rounds. And he’ll still be available in some leagues.
Sam Powell-Pepper (Port)
Midfielder, Average: 92
After a quiet start to the season with a 52-point performance against Melbourne, the tough inside-midfielder has hit his straps, posting scores of 109 and 115 in the past two rounds.
Zak Jones (Syd)
Defender, Average: 98
The 24-year-old tallied 31 disposals, 14 contested possessions and 116 points against the Blues, rotating through the midfield. Given the abundance of popular options in defence, there’s a chance he’s still on the market. Jump on, if so.
Jamie Cripps (WC)
Forward, Average: 108
The dangerous small forward wasted little time finding form, posting 108 points in his first game for the year against the Magpies. Cripps, who recorded a SuperCoach ton in the last Western Derby, averaged 90 points in the final nine home-and-away matches last season and is the perfect addition to your bench.
Rowan Marshall (StK)
Forward, Average: 112
The 23-year-old has dominated as the Saints’ No. 1 ruckman over the past two weeks, recording consecutive scores in excess of 111. Swoop now, but just keep in mind Billy Longer returned through the VFL at the weekend and St Kilda do like Marshall as a forward.
Jeremy Finlayson (GWS)
Defender, Average: 87
The Phantom mentioned Finlayson’s performance in Round 2 here last week and he was even better against the Tigers. But this time, it was in attack. After taking majority of the Giants’ kick-ins against the Eagles, Finlayson finished with 15 disposals and five goals in Round 3.
