KFC SuperCoach will go ahead this weekend after changes to the AFL fixture for Round 11.
After a tumultuous 24 hours the AFL announced on Thursday that all nine matches will go ahead this weekend but with some changes to venues and start times.
The Hawthorn v Gold Coast match scheduled for TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday night has been shifted to the SCG and Richmond will now face GWS at Giants Stadium instead of the MCG due to border restrictions imposed to deal with Victoria’s new COVID-19 crisis.
KFC SuperCoach will be played as normal with no special rules or extra trades — at this stage.
If one or more games is cancelled or postponed, KFC SuperCoach will go to best 18 scoring for the round.
During a hectic 2020 season the rule was adopted that any time there were fewer than nine games played in a weekend KFC SuperCoach moved to bye round scoring.
Under Best 18 rules only a team’s highest 18 scores count towards your tally for the round. These scores must come from active players — bench scores don’t count unless they are emergencies covering for a zero on the field.
If any match is cancelled or postponed prices of players at the participating clubs would not change and all non-playing players could be used for loopholes and traded and substituted until the final lockout of the round.
KFC SuperCoach will remain agile with possible further fixture changes and we will keep everyone informed with any new developments.
