Norwood captain Jace Bode has called an end to his career after nine years at The Parade.
The defender announced the decision on Thursday, claiming it had been an absolute honour to captain the Redlegs.
A member of the side which won a hat-trick of premierships from 2012-14, Bode said he would most miss the locker room chat and being part of a club.
Bode played 195 games after nine AFL appearances in three seasons with Melbourne. He co-captained the Redlegs with Alex Georgiou in 2016 and was solo skipper from 2017.
Injuries have been an issue this season and he missed the finals series due to an ankle problem. He joins Brady Dawe in retirement from the SANFL.

South Adelaide and Abe Davis have parted company after the club failed to gain a commitment from the midfielder for next season.
“Abe has been exploring his options at a number of SANFL clubs and wasn’t prepared to commit to playing at South Adelaide in 2020,” Panthers chief executive Neill Sharpe said. “While we are disappointed to see Abe go, we thank him for his contribution during his time here at South Adelaide.”
Davis played 50 games in three seasons at Noarlunga and made this year’s The Advertiser/SANFL team of the year.
