Glenelg captain Chris Curran has been named captain of The Advertiser/SANFL Team of the Year in recognition of his brilliant season and outstanding leadership.
Curran played all 18 minor round games to lead the Tigers to the minor premiership and he has been named at centre half back.

South Adelaide champion Joel Cross was given more game time in attack this year and he again thrived to not only be selected in the prestigious team, but be named vice-captain.

Luke Reynolds finished second on the goalkicking list, just one behind McBean, and is the centre half forward. His Tigers’ teammate Max Proud represented the state in the win over Western Australia in Perth in May and he is the full back.
Norwood’s Sam Baulderstone had another impressive season at The Parade and has been honoured as the ruckman, while Adelaide’s Magarey Medal runner-up Patrick Wilson is the ruck rover.
Despite missing five games for Port Adelaide because of injury, Jack Trengove proved a ball magnet to average more than 31 disposals and earn his position at centre.
Mark Stone, in his second season at the Bay, was named coach of the side after the Tigers lost only three minor round games and qualified for their first grand final since 2008.
