GREAT SOUTHERN
Mount Compass v Yankallila
Saturday, 2.30pm @ Mt Compass
There will be more than purple pride on the line when Mount Compass wears special guernseys for their final round match against Yankallila on Saturday.
The Bulldogs will don purple jumpers, which will be auctioned off after the game, as a fundraiser for Jack’s Butterflies. Jack is the nephew of vice-captain Mike Corbett and has a rare infantile epileptic disorder called ohtahara syndrome.
The Bulldogs are still a chance to pinch the minor premiership if they beat the five-win Tigers and Strathalbyn — which is still a mathematical shot at making the five — upsets ladder-leader Willunga.
BAROSSA, LIGHT & GAWLER
Tanunda v Nuriootpa Rover
Saturday, 2.20pm @ Willaston
Steven Summerton-led Angaston capped a scintillating home-and-away season by sealing the minor premiership and a week off with a 76-point belting of fellow finalist Freeling last weekend, leaving main challenger Tanunda to face last year’s grand final conqueror Nuriootpa Rover in a qualifying final this Saturday.
Dean Terlich’s Magpies ran out 25-point winners in a dress rehearsal against the Tigers last weekend. Can Nuri turn the tables on neutral territory at Willaston?
Barossa District will take on the out-of-form Freeling in the elimination final at South Gawler on Sunday.
GREAT FLINDERS
Ramblers v Cummins Kapinnie
Saturday, 2.30pm @ Kapinnie
It will be the battle of Cummins when Cummins Ramblers and Cummins Kapinnie clash to keep their seasons alive in a knockout semi-final at Kapinnie.
Ramblers will go in favourite, finishing the season one win ahead and coming off a comprehensive thumping of Eyre United, with former Crow and club premiership coach Robbie Shirley among their best. They also won the last derby encounter by 27 points.
Cummins Kapinnie copped a hiding from unbeaten flag favourite United Yeelanna but will benefit from home ground advantage.
The winner will face the loser of next weekend’s clash between the rampaging ... and Tumby Bay.
FAR NORTH
Roxby Districts v East Roxby
Saturday, 2pm @ Town Oval
The chance to take on Hornridge in next week’s grand final is the prize on the line when Roxby Districts take on East Roxby in Saturday’s preliminary final.
As part of this year’s unique finals system, East Roxby will get its first taste of finals action.
The Miners, meanwhile, will get a chance to bounce back after going down by 32 points to a Hornridge side led by newly crowned Mail Medal winner Brendan Lehmann in last week’s first final.
The Miners have a 3-1 ledger over the Roos this season, including a 36-point win a fortnight ago.
KANGAROO ISLAND
Wisanger v Kingscote
Saturday, 2.15pm @ Wisanger
Just two points separate first and fourth going into the final round of the KI season with both games set to shape finals.
Top of the table Western Districts have the bye but should have enough percentage to secure the minor premiership.
Wisanger upset the Saints last week and get to fight for the double chance against Kingscote. Both teams are on eight wins and a game behind Western Districts, with the Panthers sitting on 55.73 per cent and the Hounds a fraction behind on 55.66 per cent.
Pandarna — also equal on eight wins and sitting on 54.11 per cent — takes on winless Dudley United at Penneshaw.
