AFL stars Travis Boak and Taylor Walker have joined a chorus of people who are keen to see the Crows take on the Power in a Twenty20 cricket match to raise funds for the bushfire appeal.
The two rival SA stars this afternoon signalled their support on social media, which lends serious weight to getting the proposal off the ground.
The idea for the T20 Showdown came via one Twitter user who suggested the two clubs could play a charity match at Adelaide Oval to raise money to aid the bushfire relief effort.
Great idea mate - we are onto it with some ideas on how we can help. It is devastating.

South Australian individuals and corporates have so far pledged more than $500,000 towards the bushfire appeal.
The T20 cricket plan has also garnered support from SA media personality Mark Soderstrom, who is eager to see it come to life.
The two sides aren’t strangers to Twenty20 cricket, with former skipper Tex Walker, as well as midfielders Paul Seedsman and Brad and Matt Crouch all showing their capabilities earlier this season.
Meanwhile, the Power boys won a premiership as a part of the Grange Dolphins in early 2019 and included some former players such as John Butcher and Paul Stewart.
Other supporters have been quick to tag Port Adelaide chairman David Koch and Crows chief Andrew Fagan to alert them to the idea.
Meanwhile, tennis star Nick Kyrgios tweeted out he’ll be donating $200 per ace he hits across all events he participants in this summer.
Fellow Aussie Alex de Minaur said he’ll donate $250 per ace, with a tongue in cheek comment.
Tennis Australia has also said it’ll be unveiling several fundraising initiatives.
