From teaching tiny preppies their ABCs to preparing year 12s for studies beyond high school, teachers can be the person who help improve skills and inspire students to be the best they can be.
With hundreds of responses to our call-out for nominations, it is clear our state is home to many talented teachers who inspire their students every day.
Alice Chigwidden, St Francis of Assisi School, who was crowned SA’s best teacher for 2022, says “it’s not an easy job but your heart has to be in it”.
“I consider it such a responsibility to be a teacher and a privilege to have children in my care.”
