Carrara: French Quarter: Building containing dental surgery to be auctioned in February

A big change is coming to a building in Carrara’s French precinct with links to one of the city’s most prominent business families. FIND OUT WHY

Gold Coast housing prices skyrocket

A building in the heart of Carrara’s French precinct with links to the Puljich family will go to auction in February.

Ray White Commercial Burleigh will auction 1/3029 The Boulevard in the up-market central Gold Coast development on February 7.

Its current tenant is a Coastal Dental Care (CDC) practice, in which a partner is Dr Anthony Puljich, the son of retirement village mogul, Peter Puljich and brother of football identity Adrian Puljich.

The practice has a long-term lease through 2028, generating an annual rental income of $83,688.

Ray White Commercial Burleigh Group agents Ryan Langham and Travis Rayner are marketing the sale of the site.

Mr Langham said the building was a “recession-proof” buy.

“The Puljichs are one of Queensland’s most esteemed business families,” he said

“The property in which his Coastal Dental Care practice operates is for sale, so a rare

opportunity to acquire a very lucrative commercial holding.

“CDC has just renewed its lease on the holding for five years, so there’s peace of mind for

whoever does buy it.

“Medical businesses are generally considered to be recession-proof.”

The building has six car spaces.

Mr Rayner said he expected strong interest in the sale.

“The vendor is open to discussions prior to auction, and all offers will be considered, so it

could sell before auction,” he said

“Carrara’s median house price has just hit $1,170,000, which isn’t directly tied to commercial

values but it gives you an indication of the type of clientele that CDC typically sees.

“(It) is in a really strategic commercial location, just a few minutes back to the M1 and less than 15 to the coastal suburbs of Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise.”

Peter Puljich is best-known for emigrating from Croatia in the 1960s and working as a self-taught plasterer before launching the Living Gems company which operates retirement villages in Coombabah, Logan and Eagleby.

His son Anthony, who operates the practice, grew up on the Gold Coast and in 2020 made headlines when he unveiled plans for a waterfront mega mansion at Carrara.
