AFL star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin reunited with Jesinta and children after quarantine

After weeks apart, Swans star Lance Franklin has finally reunited with his family, stepping out with wife Jesinta and their children in Melbourne.

Sydney star Lance “Buddy” Franklin and his model wife, Jesinta, have stepped out together in Melbourne, after state border closures forced them apart for several weeks.

The power couple rugged up against the cold and left their Melbourne hotel on Saturday, heading to the park with their two young children Tullulah, one, and four-month-old Rocky.

Jesinta Franklin and her beautiful bubs quarantined on the Gold Coast for 14 days expecting to join her AFL star husband, Buddy, and his teammates in their Queensland bubble.

But the Sydney Swans were forced to relocate once again to Melbourne following Brisbane’s latest Covid outbreak.

The family had a cute encounter with a friendly pooch.

Jesinta, Tullulah and Rocky were seen boarding a flight to Melbourne on Thursday, where the Swans are expected to remain for the rest of the season.

Jesinta’s arrival in Victoria came as the state was plunged into its sixth Covid lockdown.

The AFL is prioritising jetting families over to Melbourne without a further lockdown period.

“It’s day by day and the whole thing has changed so many times but we’re hoping to get out,’’ Ms Franklin told the Herald Sun.

“It’s been tough but it’s just the reality of the world we’re living in at the moment.

“Not only me and what all the other Swans and GWS players’ partners have to do, but thousands of Australians.

“If you want to be reunited with your family who are either living abroad or interstate now, gone are the days where you could just jump on a flight. It’s a sign of the times.”
