Two Townsville fuel stations are going up against each other in a competition for the cheapest fuel. See how it compares to prices in the region.

Two Wulguru fuel stations are battling for the cheapest fuel, with their current prices at least 15 cents cheaper than other locations in Townsville.
On April 24, Oom Energy Wulguru’s unleaded petrol price was 145.9 cents per litre and Coles Express Wulguru’s was 149.9, 15 cents cheaper than the third lowest fuel price at Liberty Fuel Idalia at 165.5.
The average unleaded fuel price in Townsville for April 24 was 169.3 cents per litre.
The two petrol stations sit less than 500 metres from each other on the same road in Wulguru.
While he couldn’t reveal why prices were so low, Oom Energy Wulguru manager Sujidh Balan said he wants the best for customers.
“We want to give quality fuel at the cheapest price,” he said.
Fuel prices in south west Townsville have been recorded as the lowest in the region, including locations in Idalia, Cluden and Rosslea.
