Tones in Townsville: singer will headline Tropic Sounds 2023

Multi-platinum Aussie artist Tones and I will perform in Townsville for the first time ever this May at Tropic Sounds 2023.

Australian pop sensation Tones and I will headline the Tropic Sounds music festival at Reid Park, May 27 2023.

This will be the first time Tones and I has ever played in Townsville after her first attempt to headline Tropic Sounds in 2021 was cancelled due to Covid.

The two-time ARIA Award winner will be joined by a host of Aussie and local acts.

Council community and cultural development committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney lauded Tones and I as a huge coup for Tropic Sounds, which will be a fantastic lead-in event for NAFA before it gets officially underway from June 16 to July 9

“It’s such fantastic news that Townsville music lovers can check out Tones and I, Illy and some other great national and local acts as part of Tropic Sounds next year,” Cr Greaney said.

“Tropic Sounds is one of hundreds of different performances and experiences that will run as part of NAFA in 2023, which has become a signature event for Townsville.”
