A man who rang emergency services up to 18 times for a sore leg will appear in court after he was allegedly abusive towards Queensland Ambulance Service staff.
The 58-year-old Rasmussen man was charged with public nuisance and using carriage service to menace or harass after police were called to a Rasmussen address on July 10 about 5am for a disturbance.
When officers arrived they could hear the man allegedly screaming racial slurs.
Police allege the man admitted he had rung Queensland Ambulance Service up to 18 times in relation to a sore leg.
The man had allegedly been belligerent and abusive against QAS and was refusing treatment.
He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrate Court on September 8.
