A woman has lost her licence after slamming into a tree and allegedly returning a breath test almost six times the limit in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.
A 42-year-old Marden woman has lost her licence and her car has been impounded after she crashed at Glen Osmond on Sunday just before 4.30pm.
Police were called to Allawah Ave after reports a Mazda travelling west left the road and hit a tree.

Police breath tested the 42-year-old Marden woman, who returned an alleged blood-alcohol reading of 0.297, before hitting her with a 12-month loss of licence. #9Newspic.twitter.com/5cDCvbVAau
Witnesses told police that the driver left the scene of the crash on foot.
Police and ambulance workers found the driver walking along Glen Osmond Rd. She was breath tested and allegedly returned a positive reading of .297, almost six times the limit.
She was reported for drink driving and lost her licence on the spot for 12 months.
Her car was towed and impounded for 28 days.
The woman will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
