Whether you have the day off or are working over Easter, it’s handy to know what’s open and what’s not – you never know when you’ll need to pop to the shops for a last-minute chocolate egg shop!

From supermarkets to departments stores, banks and shopping centres, look no further than this guide of shops open from Good Friday to Easter Monday, April 7 to 10.

This list will be updated as Easter draws closer and stores finalise their opening hours.

Supermarkets

COLES

Good Friday: All closed except Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge Green, Mount Barker.

Easter Saturday: All open.

Easter Sunday: All closed except Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Adelaide Rundle Place, Whyalla, Murray Bridge Green, Mount Gambier, Victor Harbor, Mount Barker.

Easter Monday: All closed except Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Adelaide Rundle Place, Whyalla, Murray Bridge Green, Mount Gambier, Victor Harbor, Mount Barker, Berri.

WOOLWORTHS

Good Friday: Most stores closed.

Easter Saturday: All stores open.

Easter Sunday: Rundle Mall and regional stores open. Adelaide Metropolitan areas and Millicent are closed.

Easter Monday: Rundle Mall and Regional stores open. Adelaide Metropolitan areas and Millicent are closed.

DRAKES

Drakes CBD and metro stores have restricted trading and will only be open Easter Saturday from 7.30am to 5.00pm

Drakes Mini Stores in West Beach, Grange, Glenunga, Sunnybrook, Walkley Heights and country stores in Wallaroo, Moonta, Ardrossan, Port Lincoln, Kingscote, Murray Bridge, Aston Hills Mt. Barker, Victor Harbor and Yankalilla will trade as normal, open every day over the Easter period.

IGA

As each IGA store owner has the discretion to keep or change their trading hours on public holidays, the opening times for stores across the state will differ.

ALDI

All ALDI stores in SA will be closed on Good Friday. ALDI stores will be open on Easter Saturday and opening times will vary on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Customers are advised to check the ALDI store locator online for individual store trading hours.

COSTCO

Good Friday: Closed

Easter Saturday: 9am to 5pm

Easter Sunday: Closed

Easter Monday: Closed

ADELAIDE CENTRAL MARKET

Good Friday: Closed

Easter Saturday: Open 7am to 3pm

Department stores

BUNNINGS WAREHOUSE

All Bunnings stores will be closed on Good Friday, and stores will be open for public holiday trading hours on Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

BIG W

Good Friday: All stores closed.

Easter Saturday: All stores open, check www.bigw.com.au/store-finder for local store opening hours.

Easter Sunday: Most Metropolitan stores will be closed with selected regional stores open at reduced hours. Check www.bigw.com.au/store-finder for local store opening hours.

Easter Monday: Most BIG W stores will be open with some select stores in South Australia closed. Check www.bigw.com.au/store-finder for local store opening hours.

Adelaide Central Plaza: Closed on Good Friday, open 9am to 5pm Easter Saturday, open Easter Sunday 11am to 5pm and open Easter Monday 11am to 5pm.

Branches will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Commonwealth Bank:

All branches in SA will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.

Westpac and BankSA:

Easter Friday and Easter Monday public holidays apply.

Dan Murphy’s:

All SA stores closed on Good Friday. Most Dan Murphy’s stories operating from 9am until 9pm on Easter Saturday and are open from 10am to 6pm on Easter Sunday.

Most Dan Murphy’s locations will also be open from 10am to 7pm on Easter Monday.

BWS:

Most stores closed on Good Friday, all open on Easter Saturday. Some stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, a majority will open on Easter Monday. Be sure to check your local stores opening hours online.

Liquorland:

Good Friday: All closed
