Felicity Oliver has described the death of 20-year-old Ingle Farm man Ethan Hall as “devastating”, taking to social media to share her heartbreak.

“It’s rocked our community and has many of us asking why and how,” she wrote.

“Such a gorgeous kid from a beautiful family.”

Meanwhile, Mr Hall’s co worker Esther Wong expressed her shock in a Facebook post on Monday night.

“I really can’t believe you’re gone,” she said.

“I will miss you very much at work – our tourbillon (a watch mechanism) king.”

Mr Hall’s One Tree Hill church community described him as “caring, loving and passionate about basketball and his business studies,” 7NEWS reported.

Mr Hall was killed when the Mitsubishi station wagon he was driving collided with a Ford truck with a trailer on Victor Harbor Rd, Hindmarsh Valley around 6.30pm on January 7.

The driver of the Ford, Alyesha Austin, 42 was travelling with her mother Lyn Healy and two of her five children.

Ms Austin in an induced coma recovering from her critical injuries at Flinders Medical Centre according to a MyCause fundraiser created by friends of the family.

While her two children remained physically unharmed, Ms Healy also sustained serious injuries and is fighting for life.

Ms Healy’s son and Ms Austin’s brother Kym Healy said he got goosebumps when his mother’s phone rang.

“When I knew it wasn’t her, I just had a gut feeling that something was wrong,” he told 7NEWS through tears.

“Mum is 75, she’s had every rib broken, a lacerated liver and a broken wrist.

“We just have to pray that everything comes all right for them … they’ve got many months ahead of them.”

Ms Austin was transporting two camels from Victor Harbor back to her farm, Healy’s Camel and Pony Farm on Kangarilla Rd in Adelaide’s south.

Two camels were euthanised following the accident, while one camel escaped serious injury.

Healy’s Camel and Pony Farm, which has been in operation for over 35 years, hosts camel rides throughout Adelaide, including on Victor Harbor beach.

It is understood it is the family’s only source of income and the future of the business remains unclear.

Alyesha husband, Reegan Austin, is now taking care of the couple’s five children while she recovers in hospital.

“This is a family that has bought so much joy to the community and to the lives of our children offering such a wonderfully unique experience in their camel rides,” the MyCause fundraiser reads.

According to the fundraiser, Ms Austin lost her father only a few months ago leaving the family devastated.
