Two men have been arrested after allegedly abusing supermarket staff and refusing to leave when they were denied entry into a Port Pirie Coles store during a dedicated shopping hour for seniors, emergency services personnel and healthcare workers.
The pair were prohibited from entering the Grey Terrace shop because they did not qualify to shop at that time.
Police were sent to the Grey Terrace store just after 7.30am this morning after receiving reports that two men were causing a disturbance outside Coles.
“Police tried to reason with the two men and asked them to leave several times, but they continued to abuse young staff members as they were entering the supermarket to start work,” SA Police said in a statement.
