Two fishermen saved by group of four teens at Hallett Cove beach

A group of four teens bravely saved two fishermen, who were swept off the rocks at a popular SA beach.

A group of four teens bravely saved two fishermen, who were swept off the rocks at a popular SA beach.

The father and son were swept from the rocks and into the water at a Hallett Cove beach on Wednesday, 7NEWS reported.

The pair had difficulty staying above the water but the teenagers quickly dived in to help, bringing the two fishermen to land.

Josh Garlek, one of the teens involved in the rescue, said afterwards he checked for any blockages in their airways.

Jarrod Lindfield, who saw the incident, told 7NEWS the group not only got the pair out of the water and saved their lives “but went back in to retrieve all their gear”.

The men were then treated for minor inquires.
