Two elderly people had to be rescued after a blaze ripped through their northern suburbs home – leaving a man with severe burns.

Two elderly people have been taken to hospital after they were rescued from a house fire in the northern suburbs on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the house on Sampson Rd, Elizabeth Grove after reports of “heavy, black smoke” about 9.30am.
The two occupants of the home – 77-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman – sustained non-life threatening injuries and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.
The man is said to have suffered severe burns.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze within fifteen minutes.
Fire Investigators and detectives attended the scene with early investigations indicating that the fire is non-suspicious, but the cause and estimated damage bill has not yet been determined.
