Corey John Ahlburg, 45, who last month was denied entry to Bali, is listed as the host and owner of Ora Luxury Villa at Moana, south of Adelaide.
Onkaparinga Council is investigating the use of the property, which has gained a reputation as a party house and drawn the ire of numerous locals.
The villa was advertised on Airbnb for $2000 a night and spruiked as an accommodation for individuals, couples or groups and designed specifically for comfort and pleasure.
But the listing was removed last week when Ahlburg’s criminal history was revealed by the Sunday Mail.
An Airbnb spokesman said there had been more than 200 million guest arrivals on Airbnb and bad experiences were extremely rare.
“Once we were made aware of this user’s criminal background, we immediately and permanently removed him and his home from our community,” the spokesman said.
The Ora Luxury website was offline last week due to “website maintenance” but bookings are still available through stayz.com and booking.com.
In 1993, Ahlburg, as a 20-year-old, was found guilty of unlawful sexual intercourse with two intoxicated girls, aged 15 and 16, at his home after a party.
He was jailed for a minimum of 12 months after failing to appeal his sentence.
Ahlburg was on parole when, in 1997, he swerved on to the wrong side of the road, slamming into an oncoming car and killing a woman.
He was found not guilty of causing death and bodily harm by dangerous driving, but convicted of the lesser charge of driving without due care, and jailed for almost 10 months.
The Sunday Mail has been unable to contact Ahlburg.
