A teenager had to be taken to hospital following a sporting incident at a school in Goolwa on Monday afternoon.

A 14-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital following a sporting incident at Goolwa Secondary College on Monday.
An ambulance rushed to Adelaide’s south at around 2.30pm before taking the teenager to South Coast District Hospital at a Victor Harbor.
A Department for Education spokesperson said: “An ambulance was called to the school this afternoon (Monday) following a game of football, after a student was injured.”
“It’s currently unclear how the injury was sustained. The student’s family were also contacted. The student has been discharged from hospital this evening and further support will be offered over the coming days.”
Police were notified of the incident but did not attend.
