SUV ploughs through Torrensville office building, leaves trail of devastation

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash, which left a trail of destruction in Adelaide’s west.

The ground floor of an office building in Adelaide’s west has been destroyed after a car ploughed into it on Monday.

The silver Mitsubishi SUV first hit a parked car on Huntriss St at Torrensville before crashing into the office building on the corner of Henley Beach Rd just after 11.30am.

The female driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

No one inside the office building was injured, despite it sustaining significant damage.

Henley Beach Rd was down to one lane for eastbound traffic and Huntriss St was closed while the building was secured.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken to authorities to come forward.
