Suspected bikie Raymond Jones back in court after spending two months on the run from police

A HEAVILY tattooed violent criminal, who taunted police with pictures of himself while on the run for almost two months, has smiled and smirked through two separate court appearances on Monday.
Accused bikie Raymond Patrick Harley Jones, 30, of Blakeview, cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and fled on the last day of a serious assault trial in October.
Jones, who police say a Comancheros outlaw motorcycle gang member, was later convicted by a District Court jury of stabbing a man in front of his young daughter at a northern suburbs house in February last year.
A bench warrant was issued for his arrest and he was last spotted by police on December 6 when he allegedly rammed a patrol car as officers tried to arrest him at Craigmore.
The previous day he had posted a picture of himself on social media standing outside the Elizabeth Police Station with the caption “hey guys stopping in to sign in hahaha”.
He was arrested at a Smithfield Plains townhouse at 9.45pm on Saturday.
On Monday he appeared before Judge Geraldine Davison, who formally delivered the guilty verdict.
Standing in the dock, he smiled, stared at the ceiling and raised his eyebrows at reporters in the public gallery. He was remanded in custody until February.
Later on Monday he appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court, where he made no bail application, failed to keep his identity secret and smirked from the dock.
He has yet to plead to aggravated charges including driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit, endangering life and failing to comply with bail agreement.
He was remanded until January on those charges.
